Every guide on tech201 follows the same process, so you know what you are getting before you change a setting on your PC.
The process
- Reproduce the problem. Where possible, the problem is recreated on a test PC or virtual machine first.
- Check the official source. Commands, file paths and settings are checked against official documentation (Microsoft Learn, Oracle’s docs and similar), which is linked in the guide.
- Test every step. Each step is followed exactly as written. Screenshots come from that test machine.
- Record what it was tested on. Each guide shows a “Tested on” line, such as the Windows version and app version, and a “Last updated” date.
- Review and update. Guides are rechecked when Windows or Microsoft 365 changes. Fixes that stop working are updated or clearly marked.
What tech201 will not do
- Recommend registry hacks, third-party “cleaner” tools or risky steps without a clear warning and a safer option.
- Publish a fix that has not been tested.
- Accept payment to recommend a product.
Use of AI tools
Drafts are written with the help of AI tools. Every step is then tested and every guide edited by Kai before it is published. AI is never used to invent test results or experiences.
